MULTINACIONALNI KOPUS SJEVERO-ISTOK |

1997. ministri obrane Danske, Njemačke i Poljske odlučili su
osnovati dansko-njemačko-poljski korpus. Ovaj je korpus trebao
dobiti naziv Multinacionalni korpus Sjeveroistok (Multinational
Corps Northeast, MNC NE). Multinacionalni korpus Sjeveroistok
multinacionalnog korpusa u NATO-u, savezničkih kopnenih snaga
Schleswig-Holstein i Jutland (LANDJUT). Trinacionalna radna
Multinacionalni korpus Sjeveroistok
ima ključnu funkciju u integraciji novih država članica NATO-a. |
In July 1997, Ministers of Defence of Denmark, Germany and
Poland decided to establish a Danish-German-Polish Corps. This
corps was to be named Multinational Corps Northeast.
Multinational Corps Northeast was formed on 18 September 1999 at
Szczecin, Poland, which became its headquarters. It evolved from
what was for many years the only multinational corps in NATO,
Allied Land Forces Schleswig-Holstein and Jutland (LANDJUT). A
tri-national working group was established following the July
1997 decision that Poland was to be admitted to NATO.
Multinational Corps North East has a key function in the
integration of new NATO member states. |

1. NJEMAČKO-NIZOZEMSKI KORPUS |
|
informatičkog bataljona (Eibergen and Garderen). Obje su ove jedinice
dvonacionalnog sastava: Nijemci i Nizozemci. |
1 German/Netherlands Corps
is a multinational formation consisting of units from both the Dutch and
German armies. It is also part of NATO's Response Force, a military force
consisting of approximately 25.000 troops. The Corps headquarters are
situated in Münster, formerly the headquarters of the German Army's I.
Corps out of which 1 German/Netherlands Corps evolved. Due to its role as
a NATO High Readiness Forces Headquarters, soldiers from other NATO member
states are also stationed at Münster. The official language is English.
When not deployed, 1 German/Netherlands Corps consists only of
administration and logistic support. However, in an emergency the corps
must be able to deploy and lead a military mission inside and outside NATO
territory within twenty to thirty days. The following units are
permanently part of HQ 1 German/Netherlands Corps: Staff Support Battalion
(Münster) and Communication and Information Systems (CIS) Battalion (Eibergen
and Garderen). All these units are fully binational, manned with German
and Dutch soldiers. |

This unit insignia is an
OD shield, bordered yellow, which bears a sword, with a white blade and
a yellow handpart, held by two gloves. The cuff of the left glove bears
the colors of the Kingdom of the Netherlands, because the Netherlands
lay geographically west of the Federal Republic of Germany. The right
(German) glove is below the left (Netherland) glove due to the German
element being much "heavier" (armor oriented) and that two-thirds of the
soldiers came from the German Army. On the bottom is motto written in
white letters: "COMMUNITATE VALEMUS" (United Strength). Color of the
shield the represents the military nature of the corps and the sword
represents both the combat power of the corps and the sovereingty of the
two nations that comprises the corps. |

MULTINATIONAL DIVISION
MULTINACIONALNA DIVIZIJA |
|
Multinacionalna divizija centar (Multinational Division Central MND (C)
zemlje: Belgije, Nizozemske, Njemačke i Ujedinjenog Kraljevstva.
i logistikom).
godine. |

The Multinational Division Central MND (C), was a
multi-national division in NATO for Central Europe and had its
headquarters at the British base in JHQ Rheindahlen near
Mönchengladbach. The concept for this first genuine multi-national
division in NATO with its four participating nations - Belgium, Germany,
the United Kingdom and the Netherlands originated during the Cold War.
The airmobile MND (C) was to support Norther Army Group Central Europe
(NORTHAG) as a reserve formation. The MND (C) achieved operational
readiness on 1 April 1994. On the full activation of the division each
nation was to make available a parachute or airmobile brigade, combat
support units and supply units. |

MND-C, with a theoretical strength of 20,000 soldiers, was the most
important of the multi-national rapid reaction forces stationed in
Europe and had the capability of deploying on worldwide military
intervention missions. Because NATO became increasingly focussed on
other crisis reaction forces (the so-called High Readiness Forces
(Land)), the headquarters of MND (C) was disbanded on 25 October 2002. |
