Expeditionary sustainment commands (ESC), such as the 13th, synchronize distribution of supplies and services within their operational areas and provides distribution oversight. Formed at Fort Hood, Texas when the !st Logistics Command deployed to Vietnam, the organization then known as the 13th Support Brigade was initially responsible for the training of technical services units to assume combat service support missions in Southeast Asia.

20th Support Command’s patch is a symbol of fight against domestic and international terrorism, as well as the unit’s commitment to its motto of Libertatem Defendimus - Latin for “Liberty We Defend.” Five stars represent the five threats the unit must deal with (Chemical, Biological, Radiological, Nuclear, and High-Yield Explosive).

22nd SUPPORT COMMAND   22. KOMANDA PODRŠKE

Oznaka jedinice 22.

The 22nd Support Command unit patch was originally approved for the 22nd Field Army Support Command on 18 October 1966, but was redesignated for 22nd Support Command on 16 December 1990. A pair of quill pins reflects the massive amount of administrative recordkeeping that 22nd Support Command was required to do to meet the support needs not only of the U.S. Army, but also other U.S. military branches and even coalition partners during the preparation and execution of Operations Desert Shield and Desert Storm.

Two arrowhead-tipped quills are featured in the patch of the 22nd Support Command. Quills are an ancient symbol of light and knowledge because of their ability to record learning and wisdom; in heraldry, they represent calmly chosen volitional actions. The arrowhead is a universal emblem of speed and martial preparedness.

The 377th Theater Sustainment Command Shoulder Sleeve Insignia (patch), was originally approved on 11 May 1966 for the 377th Support Brigade.
