Komande kriminalnih istražitelja Vojske Sjedinjenih Država (USACDIC), koji
(obadvije organizacije) odgovarajau Komandi Vojne policije
Provost Marshal
General.

United States Army. Investigations are conducted by Military Police
Investigators or the United States Army Criminal Investigation Command (USACIDC),
both of which report to the Provost Marshal General. MPs are service
members of the U.S.Army. Some U.S. MP units, usually at the division or
brigade level, are designated as combat, division MPs whose combat zone
responsibilities include protection of vehicle routes, defile control,
route reconnaissance and straggler control, the guidance or detention of
soldiers who have become lost, separated from their units, or have fled

Zapovjedništvo Korpusa Vojne Policije je osnovano 26. 09. 1941. godine.
Prije toga vremena, osim za vrijeme Građanskog rata i Prvog svjetskog
rata, nije bilo redovito postavljenog zapovjednika ili redovite Vojne
Policije, i ako se u spisima
"Provost
Marshal" može naći još od 1776. godine, a Provost corps (Vojna policija)
početkom 1778. godine.

A Provost Marshal General's Office and Corps of Military Police was
established on September 26, 1941. Prior to that time, except during the
Civil War and World War I, there was no regularly appointed Provost
Marshal General or regularly constituted Military Police Corps, although a
"Provost Marshal" can be found as early as January 1776, and a Provost
Corps as early as 1778. |

SYMBOLISM
SIMBOLI VOJNE POLICIJE |
|
Zelena i zlatna su boje povezane uz Korpus Vojne Policije. Fasces je stari
simbol autoriteta rimske uprave. Ključ predstavlja sigurnost, dok je mač
simbol vojske. Ukrštene kubure simboliziraju misiju Korpusa Vojne
Policije: provođenje zakona i održanje reda. |
Green and gold are the colors associated with the Military Police Corps.
The fasces is an ancient symbol of authority related to a Roman
magistrate. The balance is symbolic of equal justice under law and the key
signifies security. The sword represents the military. The crossed pistols
are the symbol of the Military Police Corps mission: to uphold the law and
to keep order. |

Dva metalna, zlatna pištolja (kubure) visine 3/4 inča predstavljau simbol
Vojne policije.
Two crossed gold color metal pistols 3/4 inch in height. The insignia was
approved in 1922. The old type pistol sometimes referred to as the Harper's
Ferry Pistol (made at the Harper's Ferry Arsenal), was selected since it
is the first American Military pistol and remained the Army model for many
years. The parts of this weapon were standardized and inter-changeable,
thereby marking an advance in arms. |

Fort Leonard Wood, in Missouri. Its main mission and purpose is to train
new Military Police (MPs) for service in the Regular Army, Army reserve or
National Guard. The brigade comprises three MP training battalions: 787
Battalion; 795 Battalion; and the 701st Battalion (formerly 796th). Red is
for courage and action. The four compass points symbolize both the four
corners of the battlefield and the four combat missions. The fasces and
the sword represent the magistrate's authority and the combat mission. The
crossed weapons symbolize the Roman numeral "X" for 10 and the four
compass points stand for "4," which allude to the numerical designation

meaning as charges. Together they indicate service in the area around
Paris; singly, the fleur-de-lis represents service in Northern France; and
the galley symbolizes the early assignment of the organization–escorting
prisoners from North Africa. The two wavy bars represent two trips in
this capacity. The distinctive unit insignia was approved on 28 April
