CAP BADGES  OZNAKE ZA KAPE

ARMY OFICERS HAT INSIGNIA  OZNAKA ZA OFICIRA KOPNENE VOJSKE

Godine 1895. Kopnena vojska zamjenjuje na kapama oznaku službe nacionalnim orlom. Pozlaćeni orao. Grb SAD-a, postaje službena oznaka za šapke svih oficira KoV-a 1903. Znak slave sa trinaest zvijezda stoji iznad orlove glave. Orao u desnoj kandži drži maslinovu grančicu, a u lijevoj trinaest strelica.

In 1895, the Army moved from branch insignia on the officers cap to the national eagle. The all gilt eagle, which is the coat of arms of the United States, became the official hat insignia for all officers in 1903. The glory with 13 stars is over the eagles head and the right claw offers an olive branch while the left grasps 13 arrows.

ARMY ENLISTED HAT INSIGNIA  OZNAKA ZA VOJNIKE I PODOFICIRE KOPNENE VOJSKE

Oznaka je uvedena za vrijeme 1. Svjetskog rata.

Insignia was originally introduced in World War I. The insignia consist of a gold colored disk with the national coat of arms eagle mounted directly in the center. In 1952, a blue plastic disk, 1-3/4 inches wide was authorized to the worn by enlisted infantrymen to enhance their prestige and morale. Other branches have produced branch colored rims to go around their hat brass but all of these are nonregulation. Only the infantry enlisted soldier is authorized to wear blue trim behind his hat insignia.

IDENTIFICATION BADGES  IDENTIFIKACIJSKE OZNAKE

Identification badges of the Uniformed Services of the United States are insignia which are worn by service members conducting special duties, many of which can be awarded as permanent decorations if those duties are performed successfully. There are a few Identification Badges that are awarded to all members of the uniform services (such as the Presidential Service Badge), others are specific to a uniform service (such as the U.S. Army's Drill Sergeant Identification Badge). Some of the uniform service level Identification Badges can be permanent decorations and others are only worn by a uniform service member while performing the duties they are assigned, such as the Military Police Badge.
