      Predsjednička garda (Προεδρική Φρουρά, Proedrikí Frourá) je ceremonijalna pješadijska jedinica koja čuva grob Neznanog vojnika i predsjedničku vilu u Ateni, Grčka. Jedinica se ističe kao posljednja jedinica Evzona u Helenskoj vojsci i usko je povezana s tradicionalnom uniformom Evzona, koja je nastala iz odjeće koju su nosili klepti u Grčkom ratu za nezavisnost. Najvidljiviji dio ove uniforme je fustanella, odjevni predmet nalik na kilt, koja ima 400 nabora, po jedan za svaku godinu Otomanske okupacije.       The Presidential Guard (Προεδρική Φρουρά, Proedrikí Frourá) is a ceremonial infantry unit that guards the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier and the Presidential Mansion in Athens, Greece. The unit is distinguished as the last unit of Evzones in the Hellenic Army, and is closely associated with the traditional Evzone's uniform, which evolved from the clothes worn by the klephts in the Greek War of Independence. The most visible part of this uniform is the fustanella, a kilt-like garment that has 400 pleats, one for each year of Ottoman occupation. The guns with which ceremonial actions are performed weigh more than 7 kg.

      Predsjednička garda je čisto ceremonijalna jedinica, zadužena za osiguranje stalnih ceremonijalnih odreda straže od po dva Evzona za Grob neznanog vojnika i ulaz u predsjedničku vilu, te jednogu Evzona za vlastitu kasarnu, kamp Georgios Tzavellas, smješten neposredno ispred predsjedničke vile. Također osigurava osoblje za svečano podizanje i spuštanje grčke zastave na atenskoj Akropoli, počasnu stražu tokom posjeta stranih šefova država i sudjelovanje u vojnim paradama unutar i izvan Grčke. Svi Evzoni su dobrovoljci odabrani iz Pješadijskog korpusa Helenske vojske.       The Presidential Guard is a purely ceremonial unit, charged with providing permanent ceremonial guard detachments of two Evzones each for the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier and the entrance to the Presidential Mansion, and one Evzone for its own barracks, the Georgios Tzavellas Camp, situated directly in front of the Presidential Mansion. It also provides personnel for the solemn raising and lowering of the Greek flag on the Acropolis of Athens, honour guards during foreign head of state visits, and participation in military parades both inside and outside Greece. All Evzones are volunteers drawn from the Hellenic Army's Infantry Corps. Prospective Evzones are initially identified at the Infantry Recruit Training Centres during Basic Training; there is a minimum height requirement of 1.87 m (6' 2") to join.

      Evzoni nose redovnu uniformu Helenske vojske kada nisu u stražarskoj službi. Razlikuju se od ostalih vojnih jedinica po azurnoj beretki i plavim izvezenim oznakama na ramenima koja imaju bijela slova koja tvore riječi: ΠΡΟΕΔΡΙΚΗ ΦΡΟΥΡΑ (Proedriki Froura, "Predsjednička garda").

      The Evzones wear the regular Hellenic Army uniform when not in guard service. They are distinguished from the other Army units by an azure beret and blue embroidered patches on the shoulders which have white letters that form the words: ΠΡΟΕΔΡΙΚΗ ΦΡΟΥΡΑ (Proedriki Froura, "Presidential Guard").

      The Supreme Military Command of the Interior and Islands (Greek: Ανώτερη Στρατιωτική Διοίκηση Εσωτερικού και Νήσων, ΑΣΔΕΝ; Anóteri Stratiotikí Deíkisi Esoterikoú ke Níson, ASDEN), more commonly known as ASDEN, is a Corps-sized formation of the Hellenic Army responsible for the defence of the Aegean Islands.

      79. viša komanda Nacionalne garde (79η Ανωτέρα Διοίκηση Ταγμάτων Εθνοφυλακής, 79η ΑΔΤΕ) je pješadijska mehanizirana brigada Grčkih kopnenih snaga zadužena za odbranu otoka Samosa. Na oznaci se nalaze kaciga, koplje i klinčić, jonski stup i imena Pitagore, filozofa i matematičara iz 5.- 6. stoljeća prije Krista i Lykourgosa Logothetis, vođe revolucije na Samosu 1821. Oznaka simbolizira sjedište 79 VKNG (otok Samos), borbu naroda i ljudi sa Samosa od davnina do danas (oružje) i kontinuitet helenizma na otoku povezana s Ioncima.

      The 79th High Command of the National Guard (79η Ανωτέρα Παργασία Ταγματα Εθνοφυλάής, 79η ΑΔΤΕ) is an infantry mechanized brigade of the Greek Ground Forces responsible for the defense of the island of Samos. The label features a helmet, a spear and a clove, an Ionic column and the names of Pythagoras, a philosopher and mathematician from the 5th-6th century BC, and Lykourgos Logothetis, the leader of the revolution on Samos in 1821. The label symbolizes the headquarters of the 79th VKNG (island of Samos), the struggle of the people and the people of Samos from ancient times to the present day (weapons) and the continuity of Hellenism on the island associated with the Ionians.

      NATO snage za brzo raspoređivanje (NATO Rapid Deployable Corps – Greece, NRDC-GR) su u stavri operacionalna komanda grčkog KoV-a čija je namjena učestvovanje u međunarodnim operacijama Evropske Unije i NATO pakta. Ovaj štab je trebao zamjeniti III korpus i preuzeti kontrolnu nad njegovim snagama za brze reakcije. To se ipak ne događa, pa od 2009 ove dvije komande koegzistiraju kao zajednička formacija, svaka kontrolirajući različite jedinice starog Trećeg korpusa. Od 1946. godine, korpus je smješten u Solunu, pa su tako i ove dvije komande tamo.

      The NATO Rapid Deployable Corps – Greece, abbreviated NRDC-GR, is an operational headquarters of the Hellenic Army, intended for the direction of international operations undertaken by the European Union and NATO. The HQ was originally going to replace the III Army Corps of the Hellenic Army altogether, taking control of its rapid response units, but this was changed in 2009, so that the two HQs essentially co-exist as a joint formation, each controlling different units of the old Army Corps. The Corps is based in the city of Thessaloniki since 1946.

8η Μηχανοποιημένη Ταξιαρχία Πεζικού

      8. motorizirana pješadijska brigada (grčki: 8η Μηχανοποιημένη Ταξιαρχία Πεζικού, 8η Μ/Π ΤΑΞ ΠΖ) je motorizirana pješadijska brigada Helenske vojske. Sa sjedištem u Ioannini, to je jedna od jedinica helenske vojske sa najbogatijom historijom, koja vuče svoje porijeklo od 8. pješadijske divizije (grčki: VIII Μεραρχία Πεζικού). U opsežnom preuređenju vojske 2013. divizija je smanjena i pretvorena u motoriziranu pješadijsku brigadu u sastavu NATO snage za brzo raspoređivanje.

      The 8th Motorized Infantry Brigade (Greek: 8η Μηχανοποιημένη Ταξιαρχία Πεζικού, 8η Μ/Π ΤΑΞ ΠΖ) is a motorized infantry brigade of the Hellenic Army. Based in Ioannina, it is one of the most historic units of the Hellenic Army, tracing its ancestry to the 8th Infantry Division (Greek: VIII Μεραρχία Πεζικού). In a wide-ranging army reorganization in 2013, the division was reduced in size and converted into a motorized infantry brigade in NATO Rapid Deployable Corps.

      Lik bika u hrastovom vijencu preuzet sa drevnog novčića Triala koji su nastanjivali Epir u Ήπειροthe 3. pr. Kr. Na drugoj strani novčića ispisana je riječ "PERI" što znači "EPIROTOS" ("beskonačno") što je bilo prvo ime Epira. Moto divizije (brigade) „OXI“, ( "NE"), je izraz pripisan grčkom premijeru Ioannisu Metaxasu 28. 10. 1940., kada mu je Benito Mussolini dao ultimatum da dopusti talijanskim trupama da zauzmu strateška grčka mjesta ili da se suoče s ratom. Metaxas je kratko odgovorio na francuskom: "Alors, c'est la guerre" ("Onda je rat"). Međutim, prema popularnoj legendi, Metaxas je jednostavno rekao talijanskom izaslaniku na grčkom: "Ohi!" ("Ne!"). Moto je dat diviziji kao priznanje za njenu odlučujuću ulogu u zaustavljanju talijanskog napredovanja tokom prvih dana Grčko-talijanskog rata.

      The emblem the 8th Infantry Division is a bull within an oak wreath, taken from 3rd-century BC coins of the Epirote League. The division's motto is OXI (pronounced "óchi"), or "NO". The phrase was attributed to the Prime Minister of Greece, Ioannis Metaxas, on 28 October 1940, when he was given an ultimatum by Benito Mussolini to allow Italian troops to occupy strategic Greek sites or face war. Metaxas curtly replied in French: "Alors, c'est la guerre" ("Then it is war"). However, according to popular legend, Metaxas simply told the Italian envoy in Greek, "Ohi!" ("No!"). The motto was given to the division in recognition of its decisive role in stopping the Italian advance during the early days of the Greco-Italian War.

11th INFANTRY DIVISION    11. PJEŠADIJSKA DIVIZIJA  XI Μεραρχία Πεζικού

      11. pješadijska divizija (XI Μεραρχία Πεζικού (XI ΜΠ); XI Merarchía Pezikoú) je bila divizija Kopnene vojske u sastavu Trećeg korpusa. Od 1951. godine je bila bazirana u Kavali, gdje je 2004. godine i rasformirana. Amblem divizije je lav, koji predstavlalja snagu i silu. Moto im je bio "Sami ili uz pomoć drugih" (ΜΟΝΟΣ ΚΑΙ ΜΕΤΑ ΠΟΛΛΩΝ; Mónos Ké Metá Pollón). Fraza je preuzeta iz Efebijske zakletve, zakletve koju su polagali mladići antičke Grčke prilikom stupanja u vojsku: „Ako bilo tko pokuša da sruši ustav ili ga ne poštuje, neću to dozvoliti, nego ću braniti ustav sam ili uz pomoć drugih“.

      The 11th Infantry Division (XI Μεραρχία Πεζικού (XI ΜΠ); XI Merarchía Pezikoú) was an infantry division of the Helenic Army (part of the Third Corps). From 1951, it was based at Kavala, where it remained until its disbandment in 2004. The emblem and motto of the 11th Infantry Division is a lion, symbolizing dynamism, strength and awe. The regiment's motto is Alone Or With Others' Support (: ΜΟΝΟΣ ΚΑΙ ΜΕΤΑ ΠΟΛΛΩΝ; Mónos Ké Metá Pollón). The phrase is an excerpt from the Ephebic Oath, an oath sworn by young men of Classical Athens upon induction into the military - "If anyone tries to overthrow the constitution or disobeys it, I will not permit him, but will come to its defence alone or with others' support."
