      Engleska i Wales (velški: Cymru a Lloegr) jedna je od tri pravne jurisdikcije Ujedinjenog Kraljevstva. Pokriva konstitutivne zemlje Englesku i Wales i formirana je Zakonima Walesa iz 1535. i 1542. godine. Materijalno pravo jurisdikcije je englesko pravo.       England and Wales (Welsh: Cymru a Lloegr) is one of the three legal jurisdictions of the United Kingdom. It covers the constituent countries England and Wales and was formed by the Laws in Wales Acts 1535 and 1542. The substantive law of the jurisdiction is English law. There have been multiple calls from both Welsh academics and politicians for a separate Welsh justice system.

      Snage odgovorne za policijski nadzor u južnom Yorkshireu osnovane su 1974. godine, kao spajanje prijašnje policije Sheffielda i Rotherhama zajedno s dijelom područja policije zapadnog Yorkshirea (u koju su policija općine Barnsley i policija općine Doncaster spojene 1. listopada 1968.).       The force responsible for policing South Yorkshire was formed in 1974, as a merger of the previous Sheffield and Rotherham Constabulary along with part of the West Yorkshire Constabulary area (which Barnsley Borough Police and Doncaster Borough Police had been merged into on 1 October 1968). The police force covers an area of approximately 600 square miles (1,554 square kilometres) which is made up of the county's three boroughs (Barnsley, Doncaster and Rotherham) along with the City of Sheffield. The resident population is 1.2 million. The force is divided into four basic command units (BCUs): Barnsley, Doncaster, Rotherham and Sheffield.

      West Yorkshire Police was formed in 1974, when part of the West Yorkshire Constabulary (itself created in 1968, and covering a much larger area) was amalgamated with the Leeds City Police and Bradford City Police, under the Local Government Act 1972. The force was originally known as the West Yorkshire Metropolitan Police. For operational purposes West Yorkshire Police is divided into five geographic divisions known within the force as ‘policing districts’; Leeds, Bradford, Wakefield, Kirklees and Calderdale.

      Leeds City Police was the police force responsible for policing the city of Leeds in northern England from its formation in 1836, until 1974, when it was amalgamated under the Local Government Act 1972 with the Bradford City Police and part of the West Yorkshire Constabulary to form the West Yorkshire Police.

      The West Riding Constabulary had been originally set up in 1856, by the end of the year the force's strength was 354 officers. In 1974 the force was split; the bulk of the force went to form the new West Yorkshire Police (with Bradford and Leeds) and South Yorkshire Police  with other parts coming under the North Yorkshire Police, Cumbria Constabulary, Humberside Police, and Lancashire Police forces.

      Humberside Police is the territorial police force responsible for policing The East Riding of Yorkshire including Hull and northern parts of Lincolnshire including Grimsby and Scunthorpe and North East Lincolnshire. The police force area covers 1,357 square miles with approximately 133 miles of coastline in the east of England. Humberside Police was created in 1974 following a merger of previous forces.

      The East Riding Constabulary was formed in 1856. In 1968 the East Riding Constabulary merged with York and North Riding and in 1974, under the Local Government Act 1972, East Riding Constabulary merged with Hull City Police to create Humberside Police Force (coinciding with the creation of a new administrative district) whose administrative centre is at Queens Gardens in Hull. Humberside also comprised part of Lincolnshire police, Grimsby Borough police force and Goole (formerly the West Riding).

      North Yorkshire Police is the territorial police force covering the unitary authorities of North Yorkshire and the City of York in northern England. As of September 2018 the force had a strength of 1,357 police officers, 127 special constables, 192 PCSOs and 1,072 police staff. Of the 43 territorial police forces in England and Wales, the force has the 5th largest geographic area of responsibility whilst being the 15th smallest force in terms of police officer numbers.

      Northumbria policija je odgovorna za nadzor metropolitanskih četvrti Newcastle upon Tyne, Gateshead, North Tyneside, South Tyneside i grada Sunderlanda, kao i ceremonijalnog okruga Northumberland.       Northumbria Police is a territorial police force in England. It is responsible for policing the metropolitan boroughs of Newcastle upon Tyne, Gateshead, North Tyneside, South Tyneside and the City of Sunderland, as well as the ceremonial county of Northumberland. It is the largest police force in the North East by geographical area and number of officers. The force covers an area of 2,141 square miles (5,550 km2) with a population of 1.46 million. As of March 2020, it has 3,155 police officers, 125 special constables, 204 police community support officers and 1,649 police staff.

      Durham Constabulary is responsible for policing the council areas of County Durham and Darlington in North East England. It does not cover all of the ceremonial or historic area of Durham, parts of which are covered by the neighbouring forces of Cleveland Police and Northumbria Police. As of September 2020, the force has 1,168 police officers, 129 special constables, and 131 police community support officers (PCSO). Durham Constabulary was one of the first county police forces to be set up, established in 1839.

      Gateshead Borough Police was established on 1 October 1836 and become a part of Durham County Constabulary on 1 October 1968. However, after just getting used to being a member of that force, they were again amalgamated into the new Northumbria force in 1974.

      Cleveland Police is the territorial police force responsible for the policing area corresponding to the former county of Cleveland in Northern England. As of September 2017, the force had 1,274 police officers, 278 police staff, 124 police community support officers and 64 special constables. Geographically, the force has the second smallest police area of the 43 territorial police forces of England and Wales, after the City of London Police. The area covers 231 square miles (600 km2) with a population of 569,000. In terms of officer numbers, Cleveland Police is the 12th smallest of the 48 police forces of the United Kingdom. Cleveland has the fourth smallest population of any force in England and Wales, but in terms of officers per 100,000 of population it is the fifth largest.

      Greater Manchester Police (GMP) is the territorial police force responsible for law enforcement within the metropolitan county of Greater Manchester in North West England. As of March 2020, Greater Manchester Police employed 6,866 police officers, 3,524 members of police staff, and 560 police community support officers. Additionally, the force has 325 special constables. Greater Manchester Police was directly created from two recently amalgamated city police forces, Manchester and Salford Police and parts of what were Lancashire Constabulary, Cheshire Constabulary and West Yorkshire Constabulary on 1 April 1974. The city forces were Manchester Borough Police, which formed in the late 1830s and Salford Borough Police, which began in 1844.

       Cheshire Constabulary is the territorial police force responsible for policing the English unitary authorities of Cheshire East, Cheshire West and Chester, Borough of Halton and Borough of Warrington. The force is responsible for policing an area of 946 square miles (2,450 km2) with a population of approximately 1 million.  In 1974 boundary changes meant loss of large area of North East Cheshire to new Greater Manchester Police and part of Wirral area to new Merseyside Police. Warrington & Widnes previously in Lancashire became part of Cheshire. Size of force reduced to under 2000 officers and the new force comprised of five Divisions namely Chester, Widnes (including Warrington) Northwich, Crewe and Macclesfield.

      Lancashire Constabulary is the territorial police force responsible for policing the ceremonial county of Lancashire in North West England. The force's headquarters are at Hutton, near the city of Preston. As of September 2020, the force has 3,088 police officers, 190 special constables, and 280 police community support officers (PCSO), 300 police support volunteers (PSV), and 2,287 staff.

      Policija Merseysidea je teritorijalna policija odgovorna za rad policije Merseysidea u sjeverozapadnoj Engleskoj. Područje usluge je 647 četvornih kilometara s oko 1,5 milijuna stanovnika. U 09. 2017. služba ima 3484 policijska službenika, 1619 policijskih službenika, 253 policijska službenika za podršku zajednici, 155 ovlaštenih službenika i 208 posebnih policajaca.

      Merseyside Police is the territorial police force responsible for policing Merseyside in North West England. The service area is 647 square kilometres with a population of around 1.5 million. As of September 2017 the service has 3,484 police officers, 1,619 police staff, 253 police community support officers, 155 designated officers and 208 special constables.

      Until 2017, Merseyside Police was divided into five Basic Command Units (BCUs), one for each of the Local Authority areas that make up Merseyside. The BCUs were, Liverpool (following a merger of Liverpool North and Liverpool South in April 2015); Sefton; Wirral; St Helens and Knowsley. In 2017, following a force restructure the Basic Command Unit structure was disbanded in favour of a functional structure.

As of September 2017, the force had 1,108 police officers, 535 police staff, 93 police community support officers, and 86 special constables. The force serves a population of 500,000 across an area of 2,634 square miles (6,820 km2). There are significant areas of isolated and rural community, and the area has one of the smallest visible minority ethnic populations in the country at under 3.0%. Each year, the force's area, which incorporates the Lake District National Park, attracts over 23 million visitors from all over the world (46 times the local population).
