      Policija Avona i Somerseta je teritorijalna policija odgovorna za provođenje zakona u pet područja jedinstvene vlasti Bristol, Bath i sjeveroistočni Somerset, sjeverni Somerset, Somerset i južni Gloucestershire u jugozapadnoj Engleskoj. Od rujna 2020. snage imaju 2965 policajaca, 299 specijalnih policajaca i 330 policajaca za podršku zajednici. Snage služe 1,72 milijuna ljudi na području od 1847 četvornih milja (4780 km2).

      Avon and Somerset Police is the territorial police force responsible for law enforcement in the five unitary authority areas of Bristol, Bath and North East Somerset, North Somerset, Somerset, and South Gloucestershire in South West England. As of September 2020, the force has 2,965 police officers, 299 special constables, and 330 police community support officers. The force serves 1.72 million people over an area of 1,847 square miles (4,780 km2).

      Police officers on foot patrol wear the traditional custodian helmet, in the rose style, with a Brunswick star that reads 'Avon and Somerset Constabulary'. A peaked cap is worn on mobile patrol in vehicles, and a white peaked cap for traffic officers. Female officers have the additional option of a bowler hat, or a white bowler hat for traffic officers.

      Gloucestershire Constabulary is the territorial police force responsible for policing the non-metropolitan county of Gloucestershire in South West England. The force formerly covered the area of South Gloucestershire, however this was transformed to the newly formed Avon and Somerset Constabulary in 1974. The force serves 637,000 people over an area of 1,024 square miles (2,650 km2). and covers a number of royal residences, as well as Cheltenham Racecourse and the headquarters of GCHQ. As of March 2020, the force consisted of 1,176 police officers, 100 police community support officers, 113 special constables and 358 police support volunteers.

      Dorset Police is the territorial police force responsible for policing the county of Dorset in South West England, which includes the largely rural area covered by Dorset Council, and the urban conurbation of Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole. The force covers an area of 1,024 square miles (2,650 km2) with a population of 774,000. Dorset County Constabulary was formed in 1855. 1967, it merged with Bournemouth Borough Police to form Dorset and Bournemouth Constabulary.

      Devon and Cornwall Police is the territorial police force responsible for policing the ceremonial counties of Devon and Cornwall (including the Isles of Scilly) in South West England. The force serves approximately 1.8 million people over an area of 3,967 square miles (10,270 km2). The force was formed on 1 April 1967, by the amalgamation of the Devon and Exeter Police, Cornwall County Constabulary and Plymouth City Police. These three constabularies were in turn amalgamations of 23 city and borough police forces that were absorbed between 1856 and 1947.

      West Midlands Police is the territorial police force responsible for policing the metropolitan county of West Midlands in England. The force covers an area of 348 square miles (900 km2) with 2.93 million inhabitants, which includes the cities of Birmingham, Coventry, Wolverhampton and also the Black Country. In 2020, there were 6,846 officers, 484 police community support officers (PCSO), and 219 volunteer special constables.

      Staffordshire policija je teritorijalna policija odgovorna za nadzor nad Staffordshireom i Stoke-on-Trentom u zapadnom Midlandsu u Engleskoj. Sastoji se od 11 lokalnih policijskih timova, čije su granice usklađene s devet lokalnih vlasti unutar Staffordshirea.       Staffordshire Police is the territorial police force responsible for policing Staffordshire and Stoke-on-Trent in the West Midlands of England. It is made up of 11 local policing teams, whose boundaries are matched to the nine local authorities within Staffordshire. A combined force covering Staffordshire and Stoke-on-Trent,  was established on 1 January 1968, as a merger of the Staffordshire County Police and Stoke-on-Trent City Police. This force lost areas to the new West Midlands Police in 1974 under the Local Government Act 1972 and adopted a shorter name.

The resident population of the area is 1.19 million Its name comes from the ancient kingdom of Mercia.

      Nottinghamshire Police is the territorial police force responsible for policing the shire county of Nottinghamshire and the unitary authority of Nottingham in the East Midlands area of England. The area has a population of just over 1 million. The force headquarters are at Arnold. As of April 2022, the force had 2,238 police officers, 1,465 police staff including PCSOs, around 163 special constables, 113 police support volunteers, 19 student placement volunteers and 131 police cadets.

The force covers an area of over 1,000 square miles (3,000 km2) with a population of just under one million. The force is divided into two territorial divisions, based respectively in the towns of Buxton and Chesterfield (North Division - covering High Peak and Derbyshire Dales District Council areas, Chesterfield, NE Derbyshire, Amber Valley and Bolsover and the villages of South Normanton and Pinxton), and Derby ( South Division - policing the city of Derby and the districts of Erewash, Long Eaton and South Derbyshire).

In 1965, Leicestershire and Rutland Constabulary had an establishment of 748 officers and an actual strength of 659.

      Lincolnshire Police formed in 1856 is covering the non-metropolitan county of Lincolnshire in the East Midlands of England. Despite the name, the force's area does not include North East Lincolnshire and North Lincolnshire, which are covered by Humberside Police instead. In terms of geographic area the force is one of the largest in the England and Wales covering 2,284 square miles (5,920 km2). The population of the area covered by the force is 736,700. As of 2010 the force currently employs over 2,500 people. As at May 2016, there were 1,100 police officers, 200 Special Constables and 149 PCSOs.
