FEDERAL POLICE SAVEZNA MILICIJA

      Prve jedinice saveznog sekretarijata za unutrašnje poslove (SSUP), nastale su 1973. godine od takozvanih Operativno-potjernih grupa (OPG) Milicije SSUP. Tokom 1975 godine u sastavu savezne brigade SSUP osnovana je Jedinica posebnih namjena na čelu sa Francom Kociljem iz RSUP Slovenije, u njenom sastavu nalazio se i bataljon antiterorističke jedinice. Prerastanjem ovih jedinica 1977. godine u Posebne jedinice SSUP-a, dobijaju oznaku koja je predstavljala državni grb (SFRJ) izrađen od metala zlatnožute boje, višebojnog emajla, promjera 14 mm. Znak se neko  vrijeme nosio na prsnom džepu, po sredini ispuske (falde) i na lijevoj strani prsa na šinjelima. Kasnije znak dospijeva na revere. Isti se zadržao u upotrebi sve do prve polovine 1992. godine. Na rukavima košulja, bluza i šinjela je nošen isti znak samo izvezen.

      The first units of the Federal Secretariat for Internal Affairs (SSUP) were created in 1973 from the so-called Operative Pursuit Groups (OPG) of the SSUP Militia. During 1975, a Special Purpose Unit headed by Franc Kocilj from the RSUP of Slovenia was established as part of the SSUP federal brigade. It also included a battalion of the anti-terrorist unit. When these units grew into Special Units of the SSUP in 1977, they received an insignia that represented the national coat of arms (SFRJ) made of golden-yellow metal, multi-colored enamel, 14 mm in diameter. For some time, the sign was worn on the breast pocket, in the middle of the skirt (falde) and on the left side of the chest on overcoats. Later the sign reaches the lapels. It remained in use until the first half of 1992. The same sign is worn on the sleeves of shirts, blouses and overcoats, only embroidered.

      Amblem je metalna niklana značka oblika peterokutnika, zatupljenih ivica. U gornjem djelu znaka je crvena emajlirana zvijezda petokraka. Ispod zvijezde je ispisana skraćenica Socijalističke Federativne Republike Jugoslavije (SFRJ), u crnoj boji emajla, a ispod skraćenice stilizirani simbol graničnog kamena. Revers je ravan i gladak sa iglom za pričvršćivanje značke na uniformu. Na igli su signature proizvođača koji je izradio značku »ZIN–Kovnica « (Zavod za izradu novca – kovnica Beograd). Značka je promjera 38 mm.

      The emblem is a metal nickel badge in the shape of a pentagon, with blunt edges. In the upper part of the sign is a red enameled five-pointed star. Below the star is written the abbreviation of the Socialist Federal Republic of Yugoslavia (SFRJ), in black enamel, and below the abbreviation is a stylized border stone symbol. The reverse is flat and smooth with a pin for attaching the badge to the uniform. On the pin are the signatures of the maker who made the "ZIN-Kovnica" badge (Zavod za izradu novčanica - Kovnica Beograd). The badge is 38 mm in diameter.

      Posebna oznaka pripadnika milicije koji su kontrolirali putnički promet preko državne granice izrađena je od metala u obliku graničnog stupa, visine 58 mm, širina gornjeg dijela 19 mm, a donjeg 38mm; zvijezda petokraka promjera 14 mm. Na emajliranoj podlozi boja savezne zastave ispisan je naziv SFRJ. Oznaka se nosila na sredini ispuska gornjeg lijevog džepa bluze ili ljetne košulje ili na lijevoj strani kabanice u visini grudi. Korištena je od 1971. do 1991. godine. Na oznaci nema imena proizvođača, ali se sigurno zna da su ih izrađivali "IKOM" Zagreb i "Aurometal" Subotica.

      The special badge of militia members who controlled passenger traffic across the state border is made of metal in the shape of a border post, height 58 mm, width of the upper part 19 mm, and the width of the lower part 38 mm; five-pointed star with a diameter of 14 mm. The name SFRY is written on the enameled background of the colors of the federal flag. The label was worn in the middle of the top left pocket of the blouse or summer shirt or on the left side of the raincoat at breast height. It was used from 1971 to 1991. There is no manufacturer's name on the label, but it is known that they were made by "IKOM" Zagreb and "Aurometal" Subotica.

      Amblem pripadnika granične milicije izrađivan je i u manjim dimenzijama. Bio je namijenjen za nošenje na okovratniku bluze (u romboidu koji je bio dimenzija oko 40 x 30 mm, opšiven zlatnožutim pleterom širine 3 mm). Po izgledu je identičan prsnom znaku. Na reversu je zavrtanj sa maticom za pričvršćivanje znaka. Izrađivan je u kovnici "IKOM" Zagreb i "Aurea" Celje. Izrađivan je u dvije dimenzije: 1.- visine 27 i širine 15 mm kao i visine od 26 mm i širine 14 milimetara.

      The emblem of members of the border militia was also made in smaller sizes. It was intended to be worn on the collar of a blouse (in a rhomboid with dimensions of about 40 x 30 mm, trimmed with golden yellow braid 3 mm wide). It is identical in appearance to the badge. On the reverse there is a screw with a nut for attaching the sign. It was made in the "IKOM" Zagreb and "Aurea" Celje mints. It is made in two dimensions: 1.- 27 mm high and 15 mm wide, as well as 26 mm high and 14 mm wide.
