      Nacionalna garda Ukrajine (Національна гвардія України) je rezervni sastav Oružanih snaga Ukrajine podređen Ministarstvu unutarnjih poslova. Od osamostaljenja Ukrajine prošla je nekoliko reorganizacija, čak je bila i ukinuta, a posljedni je put ponovno uspostavljena 13. 05. 2014. radi novonastale situacije odcjepljenja i pobune u nekoliko regija Ukrajine. Prvi je put osnovana 04. 11. 1991. odmah po osamostaljenju, da bi bili raspušteni 2000. godine, radi uštede, po nalogu predsjednika Leonida Kučme. Od 1995. do 2000. su paralelno postojale Unutrašnja vojska i Nacionalna garda.

      The National Guard of Ukraine (Національна гвардія України, Natsionalna hvardiya Ukrayiny) — is the reserve component of the Armed Forces of Ukraine under the jurisdiction of the Ministry of Internal Affairs that was revived in 2014 based on the Internal troops of Ukraine. The Guard would then be reestablished on March 13, 2014 amidst rising tensions in Ukraine and its regions. The National Guard was originally created on November 4, 1991 right after Ukraine gained its independance under a direct supervision of the Supreme Council of Ukraine. However it was controversially disbanded nine years later on January 11, 2000 as part of a 'cost-saving' exercise by the then President Leonid Kuchma. In 1995 - 2000 there existed both the National Guard of Ukraine and the Internal Troops of Ukraine.

      Bataljoni koji su stavljeni pod komandu Ministarstva unutarnjih poslova su tehnički dio Nacionalne garde Ukrajine i pridodani su jedinicama Nacionalne garde. Bataljon „Donbas“ ima poseban status, kao operativni bataljon i njegovi su pripadnici dio vojne rezerve Nacionalne garde. Ovi različiti bataljoni Teritorijane odbrane nebi smjeli biti zamijenjeni sa jedinicama kao što su „Omega“, „Jaguar“ i „Bars“ koje su regularne specijalne jedinice MUP-a Ukrajine.

      The battalions that fall under the command of the Interior Ministry are technically part of the National Gurad of Ukraine and are attached to units of the National Guard. The Donbas Battalion has a special status as a battalion for operation purposes, and its servicemen are part of the military reserve of the National Guard. The various territorial defence battalions are not to be confused with the units such as "Omega", "Jaguar", or "Bars" which are special forces units of Ukraine. While the aforementioned units are all regular forces of the Interior Ministry of Ukraine, territorial defence battalions were formed from various volunteers.
