Kraljevsko australska ratna avijacija (RAAF) glavna je zračna ratna

The Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF) is the principal aerial warfare
force of Australia, a part of the Australian Defence Force (ADF) along
with the Royal Australian Navy and the Australian Army. Constitutionally
the Governor-General of Australia is the de jure Commander-in-Chief of
the Australian Defence Force. The Royal Australian Air Force is
commanded by the Chief of Air Force (CAF), who is subordinate to the
Chief of the Defence Force (CDF). The CAF is also directly responsible
to the Minister for Defence, with the Department of Defence
administering the ADF and the Air Force. |

No. 36 Squadron is a Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF) strategic
transport squadron. It operates Boeing C-17 Globemaster III heavy
airlifters from RAAF Base Amberley, Queensland. The squadron has seen
active service flying transport aircraft during World War II, the Korean
War, the Indonesia–Malaysia Konfrontasi, the Vietnam War, and the wars
in Afghanistan and Iraq. It has also supported Australian humanitarian
and peacekeeping operations around the world, including Somalia,
Cambodia, East Timor and Indonesia. |

Eskadrila br. 38 bila je postrojba za transport i obuku Kraljevskih
australskih zračnih snaga (RAAF) aktivna između 1943. i 2018. Formirana
je 15. 09. 1943. i tokom Drugog svjetskog rata služila je za prijevoz
zaliha i osoblja između Australije i borbenih zona u Novoj Gvineji i
Borneu, koristeći avione Douglas Dakota. Nakon rata, eskadrila je
obavljala redovite kurirske letove između Australije i Japana 1947. i
1948. Eskadrila br. 38 bila je raspoređena u Singapuru od 1950. do
1952., vršeći opskrbu snaga Commonwealtha uključenih u malajsku
izvanrednu situaciju i poduzimajući kurirske letove Azijom. Godine 1954.

No. 38 Squadron was a Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF) transport and
training unit active between 1943 and 2018. It was formed on 15
September 1943 and saw service during World War II transporting supplies
and personnel between Australia and the combat zones in New Guinea and
Borneo, using Douglas Dakota aircraft. Following the war, the squadron
conducted regular courier flights between Australia and Japan in 1947
and 1948. No. 38 Squadron was deployed to Singapore from 1950 to 1952,
supplying Commonwealth forces engaged in the Malayan Emergency and
undertaking courier flights across Asia. In 1954 it became responsible
for training RAAF personnel to operate Dakotas. |

The Joint Military Police provide a policing capability to the
Australian Defence Force (ADF). Military Police work within the remit of
law enforcement, providing mobility and manoeuvre support, security for
ADF personnel and internment and detention operations. Military Police
have jurisdictional authority over all ADF members domestically and
internationally. This includes ADF reservists when rendering active
service. Military Police are authorised to deliver law enforcement,
discipline, and command and mission support, and execute search warrants
in the course of their duties. |

Commodore, Air Vice Marshal, Air Marshal, Air Chief Marshal, Marshal of
the RAAF. Oznake činova za „navlačenje“ na epolete, zvane „Meke oznake

While the service's predecessor formations, the AFC and the AAC, had
used the Army's rank structure, in November 1920, was decided by the Air
Board that the RAAF would adopt the rank structure that had been
implemented in the RAF the previous year. As a result, the RAAF's rank
structure came to be: Aircraftsman, Leading Aircraftsman, Corporal,
Sergeant, Flight Sergeant, Warrant Officer, Officer Cadet, Pilot
Officer, Flying Officer. Flight Lieutenant, Squadron Leader, Wing
Commander, Group Captain, Air Commodore, Air Vice Marshal, Air Marshal,
Air Chief Marshal, Marshal of the RAAF. Slip-on rank epaulettes, known
as "Soft Rank Insignia" (SRI), displaying the word
"AUSTRALIA" are worn on the shoulders of
the service dress uniform. |
