      Federalna služba sigurnosti (Федеральная служба безопасности Российской Федерации) je tjelo koje provodi vladinu politiku na polju nacionalne sigurnosti, borbi protiv terorizma, zaštiti granica Ruske Federacije, zaštiti vodenih teritorija (unutrašnjih i otvorenih mora), zaštiti eksluzivne ekonomske zone, državne teritorije i prirodnih bogatstava. Rade i na informatičkoj sigurnosti te provođenju svih ostalih dužnosti navadenih u ruskim zakonima kao i radu na koordinaciji protuobavještajnih djelatnosti sa tjelima koja su ovlaštena za tu vrstu aktivnosti. Rad službe nadgleda Predsjednik ruske Federacije.

      The Federal Security Service (FSB) is a federal executive body with the authority to implement government policy in the national security of the Russian Federation, counterterrorism, the protection and defence of the state border of the Russian Federation, the protection of internal sea waters, the territorial sea, the exclusive economic zone, the continental shelf and their natural resources, ensuring the information security of Russia and exercising the basic functions of the federal security services specified in the Russian legislation, as well as coordinating the counterintelligence efforts of the federal executive bodies that have the power to do so.

      Znak na rukavima pripadnika tijela Savezne službe sigurnosti za svakodnevne uniforme je u obliku dijamanta na polju plavo-crne (za morsku - crnu) boje s obrubom plave boje (u graničnim vlastima, uključujući i morskim jedinicama - svijetlozelena) u boji duž perimetra.       Znak sa revera trokutasti je štit izdužen odozgo prema dolje s zakrivljenim gornjim uglovima i zlatnim obrubom oko ruba, uokvirenim hrastovim vijencem. Polje štita je plavo (za granične jedinice - zeleno). Iza štita je mač, postavljen okomito duž osi simetrije s vrhom prema dolje. Drška, presjek i oštrica mača su zlatni. Značka za terenske uniforme je sa svim istim elementima, ali u kaki boji.

FSB INSTITUTE MOSCOW  MOSKOVSKI INSTITUT FSB

      Moskovski institut Granične Federalne službe sigurnosti Ruske Federacije federalna je državna obrazovna ustanova visokog stručnog obrazovanja, jedna od najstarijih vojnih obrazovnih institucija ruske granične službe. U skladu s važećom licencom Federalne službe za nadzor u obrazovanju i znanosti, institut provodi obrazovne programe za poslijediplomsko, visoko, srednje i dodatno stručno obrazovanje. Institut školuje oficire i više podoficire Granične službe Federalne službe sigurnosti Ruske Federacije.

      Institut vrši obuku za oficire s višim stručnim obrazovanjem, kao i za vojno osoblje po ugovoru sa srednjom stručnom spremom. Trajanje studija je 5 godina. Studenti koji su primljeni su građani koji nisu odslužili vojni rok i u dobi su od 16 do 22 godine.

      The Moscow Border Institute of the Federal Security Service of the Russian Federation is a federal state treasury educational institution of higher professional education, one of the oldest military educational institutions of the Russian Border Service. In accordance with the current license of the Federal Service for Supervision in Education and Science, the institute implements educational programs for postgraduate, higher, secondary and additional vocational education. The Institute trains officers and warrant officers of the Frontier Service of the Federal Security Service of the Russian Federation.

      The institute provides training for officers with higher professional education, as well as military personnel under a contract with secondary professional education. The term of study is 5 years. Students who are accepted are citizens who have not completed military service and are aged from 16 to 22 years.
