ROYAL CANADIAN MOUNTED POLICE  KRALJEVSKA KANADSKA KONJIČKA POLICIJA

GENDARMERIE ROYALE DU CANADA

Kraljevska kanadska konjička policija (Engleski: The Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP); Francuski: Gendarmerie Royale du Canada (GRC)) je federalna policijska snaga, organizirana poluvojnički i sa 24.578 pripadnika (01.01.2007.) je najveća policijska organizacija u Kanadi. Pripada među najpoznatije policijske snage u svijetu.

The Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) (Gendarmerie Royale du Canada (GRC); literally Royal Gendarmery/Gendarmerie of Canada) is the federal, national and paramilitary police force of Canada and one of the most recognized forces in the world. With an on-strength establishment of 24,578 personnel, as of January 1, 2007, it is also the largest police force in Canada. The RCMP was formed in 1920 by the merger of the Royal Northwest Mounted Police (RNWMP, founded 1873) with the Dominion Police (founded 1868). The former was originally named the North-West Mounted Police (NWMP) and was given the Royal prefix in 1904. Much of the present-day organization's symbology has been inherited from its days as the NWMP, including the distinctive Red Serge uniform, paramilitary heritage, and mythos as a frontier force. Members of the RCMP (and the NWMP before it) are colloquially known as Mounties. Internally, the organization is referred to as The Force, and members of the force are referred to as Members.

AUXILIARY  REZERVNI SASTAV

The Auxiliary Program was introduced in 1963 to enhance community policing and crime prevention initiatives. Auxiliaries give their time to help keep our communities safe, and the RCMP values these volunteers greatly and considers them a vital part of the organization. Auxiliaries are unarmed, specially trained volunteers. They must be at least 19 years of age, and willing to commit to the program for a minimum of two years. Approximately 2,400 auxiliary members, divided among the different provincial auxiliary programs are currently serving with the RCMP. All costs associated with the program are the responsibility of the provincial government. Uniforms are supplied by the RCMP and costs charged back to the provinces.

SPECIAL  CONSTABLE   POSEBNI POLICAJAC

Employees of the RCMP have varied duties depending on where they are deployed, but are often given this designation because of an expertise they possess which needs to be applied in a certain area. For example, an Indigenous person might be appointed a special constable in order to assist regular members as they police an Indigenous community where English is not well understood, and where the special constable speaks the language well. They still perform this role today in many isolated northern communities and the RCMP has 122 special constables who are active in the RCMP today, and they are drawn almost entirely from the same Indigenous communities that they serve.

CANADIAN NATIONAL POLICE SERVICE  KANADSKA NACIONALNA POLICIJSKA SLUŽBA

U Sjedinjenim Državama, svaka savezna država u kojoj djeluju Kanadske željeznice daje policijske ovlasti CN-ovim pozornicima i specijalnim agentima.

The Canadian National Police Service (commonly referred to as the CN Police) is a private railroad police force protecting the property, personnel, and rail infrastructure of the Canadian National Railway in Canada and the United States. Established in 1923 upon the amalgamation of several railway companies, the Government of Canada established the Canadian National Railways Police. Currently CN Police officers operate across Canada and the United States.

In Canada, members are federally sworn in under the Railway Safety Act granting powers as police constables and have the same powers of arrest as any police officer in Canada anywhere in Canada as 'Peace Officers' under Section 2 of the Criminal Code. Police constables are employed by Canadian National and are also considered public servants, sworn to the Crown to uphold the law and protect. The CN Police federal oath of office primarily directs their duties 'on and along' CN infrastructure, protecting properties owned and administered by CN. CN Police have additional provincial appointments which allow them to extend provincial enforcement outside the boundaries set under the Railway Safety Act of Canada. In the U.S., each state in which CN operates grants police powers to CN police officers and special agents. Individual states may expand this authority within their borders.
