Vancouverski policijski odjel (The Vancouver Police Department VPD) je jedan od nekoliko odjela koji pokrivaju šire područje Vancouvera te je sa svojih 1214 službenika drugi po brojnosti u provinciji, odmah nakon RCMP "E" odjela. Po Zakonu o policiji, Britanske Kolumbije, odjelom upravlja Policijski odbor, sastavljen od gradonačelnika i šest predstavnika građana. Oboru, koji se sastaje mjesečno direktno odgovara šef policije (The Chief Constable), a to znači da odgovara direktno građanima. Policajci provode federalne i provincijske zakone i podzaknske akte te održavaju red unutar granica grada Vancouvera.



The Vancouver Police Department (VPD) is the police force for the City of Vancouver. It is one of several police departments covering the Greater Vancouver Area and with the 1214 person is the second largest police force in the province after RCMP "E" Division. The Department is governed by the Vancouver Police Board under the authority of the British Columbia Police Act. The Police Board, which meets monthly, consists of the Mayor and six other representative citizens of the city. The Chief Constable is directly responsible to the Police Board and thereby the citizens of Vancouver. Sworn police officers are empowered to enforce the criminal law, other Federal statutes, Provincial laws, municipal by-laws and to generally maintain law and order within Vancouver.

The Delta Police Department (DPD) is the police force for the district municipality of Delta, British Columbia, a suburban community in Metro Vancouver with a population of 102,661. In 2007, Delta Police had 153 sworn members and 59 civilian support staff.
