Határorseg

      Granična straža Republike Mađarske (Határőrség Magyarországon, puni naziv The Border Guard of the Republic of Hungary) u Evropi je bila gotovo jedinstvena organizacija između 1946. i 2007., budući da je graničnu stražu i kontrolu provodila policija ili žandarmerija u većini evropskih država, ali u Mađarskoj je bila samostalno upravno tijelo. Do 2006. godine bio je u sastavu postojećeg MUP-a, a od 2006. do likvidacije 2007. bila je, zajedno s policijom, podređena Ministarstvu pravosuđa i provedbe zakona.

      The Border Guard (Határőrség Magyarországon, full name The Border Guard of the Republic of Hungary) was an almost unique organization in Europe between 1946 and 2007, as border guarding and control was carried out by the police or the gendarmerie in most European states, but in Hungary it was an independent administrative body. Until 2006 it was part of the existing Ministry of the Interior, and from 2006 until its liquidation it was subordinated to the Ministry of Justice and Law Enforcement together with the police.

BREAST INSIGNIAS   PRSNE OZNAKE

      Prsne oznake Mađarske Granične straže vezene su na platnu (čoji) srebrenim ili zlatnim koncem. Srebrena boja se koristila za činove do poručnika. Od čina kapetana naviše se koristio konac zlatne boje. Oznake veličine 10,2 sa 5,6 cm nosile su se iznad džepa na desnoj strani prsa. Korištene su i za nošenje na beretkama.

      The badges of the Hungarian Border Guard are embroidered on canvas with silver or gold thread. Silver thread was used for ranks up to lieutenant. From the rank of captain onwards, the gold color was used. Insignia measuring 10.2 by 5.6 cm were worn above the pocket on the right side of the chest. They were used to wear on shirts and jackets, also on berets.

      Značka (medalja) Odličnog graničara, Narodne Republike Mađarske, kvalitetna je dvodijelna značka s likom graničara s PPŠ automatom. Lik graničara je pričvršćen vijkom na emajliranu zelenu podlogu. Značka je izrađena od mesinga i visokokvalitetnih emajla. Velika značka je visoka 44,5 mm i široka 32,6 mm. Uniforma i oružje mađarskog vojnika praktično su isti kao u vojnika sovjetske granične straže. Uz veliku je izdavana i manja značka, za nošenje na reveru civilne odjeće.

      Hungarian (People's Republic) Excellent Border Guard badge (medal), was quality two-piece construction badge with superimposed figure of a Border Guard with PPSh submachine-gun. Made in solid brass and high quality enamels. Big badge size measures 44.5 mm tall, 32.6 mm wide. Note that the uniform and weapon of the Hungarian soldier are virtually the same as Soviet Border Guard troops. With big badge was also issued a smoller one, a pin.
