      Policija Češke Republike je naoružana služba sigurnosti osnovana Ukazom Nacionalnog vijeća od 21. 06. 1991 godine. Zadaće policije su da štite sigurnost ljudi, imovine i javni red, prevencija kriminala i provođenje ostalih zadataka propisanih Zakonom o kriminalističkoj proceduri, propisa Evropske Unije i ostalim međunarodnim ugovorima unutar zakonskih okvira Češke Republike.

      Policija Češke Republike je podređena Ministarstvu unutarnjih poslova. Policija se sastoji od Policijskog Prezidija sa nadležnošću nad cijelim državnim teritorijem te Regionalnim policijskim direktoratima. Uspostavljeno je 14 ovakvih Direktorata i njihova se nadležnost prostire nad teritorijem administrativne regije, kojih je takođe 14. Brojno stanje je oko 47.000 policajaca i 11.000 službenika.

      The Police of the Czech Republic are an armed security force established by the National Council Act of June 21, 1991. The objective of the Police of the Czech Republic is to protect the security of people, property and public order, to prevent criminal offences, to meet tasks stipulated by the Code of Criminal Procedure, and to carry out other duties pertaining to internal order and security vested in the Police of the Czech Republic by laws, legal regulations of the European Communities and international agreements which are part of the legal framework of the Czech Republic.

      The Police of the Czech Republic are subordinated to the Ministry of the Interior. It consists of the Police Presidium, units having a republic-wide competence, Regional Police Directorates and units managed within Regional Directorates. Fourteen Regional Directorates are established within the Police of the Czech Republic by law. The territorial regions of the Regional Directorates are identical with the geographical areas of fourteen administrative regions of the Czech Republic. The tasks of the Police of the Czech Republic are fulfilled by 47 000 police officers and 11 000 police employees.

      Odjel za strance (Služba cizinecké policie) je specijalizirana jedinica policije Češke Republike. Bave se ilegalnom migracijom, primjenjuju represivne mjere sa strancima u Češkoj u vezi Zakonom o strancima i Zakonom o azilu te zadaćama proisteklim iz međunarodnim ugovorima i zakonima Evropske unije. Pod upravom su Ministarstva unutarnjih poslova koje je nadležno za jedinice policije sa jurisdikcijom na cijeloj državnoj teritoriji. Zaduženi su i za granične kontrole.

      The Directorate of the Alien Police Service (Služba cizinecké policie), sometimes also called the Alien Police, is a specialized unit of the Police of the Czech Republic. It deals with the tasks arising from illegal migration, applies repressive measures in connection with the stay of foreigners who are in the Czech Republic in violation of the Aliens Act and the Asylum Act and last but not least fulfills the tasks arising from international treaties and European Union legislation. This service falls under the auspices of the Ministry of the Interior, which establishes units of the Police of the Czech Republic with national competence. Agency is also responsible for border checks in the Czech Republic.
