      Početkom travnja 1992. Predsjedništvo HVO-a Hrvatske Zajednice  Herceg-Bosne donijelo je Odluku o formiranju VP-e. Krajem travnja u 25 općina H-B organizirano, pod zajedničkim zapovjedništvom Uprave VP-e djeluju postaje VP-e. Radi veće efikasnosti i praktičnih zahtjeva početkom svibnja vrši se organizacijsko povezivanje općinskih postrojbi VP-e u četiri operativne zone.

      Uspostavljena su zapovjedništva operativnih grupa i sastavljeno jedinstveno zapovjedništvo Uprave VP-e. U Upravi VP-e formiraju se službe za opće poslove, vojno-istražne djelatnosti, inspekcijske poslove, obuku kadrova i logistiku. Do konca 06.-og mjeseca formirana su tri Vojno-istražna zatvora u Mostaru, Ljubuškom i u Livnu. Tijekom 7-og i 8-og mjeseca na cijelom prostoru HZ H-B vrši se dalje organiziranje i funkcionalno uvezivanje postrojbi VP-e međusobno i s Upravom VP-e. Uz postrojbe VP-e, teritrijalno ustrojene po operativnim zonama, u 7-om mjesecu formirana je 1. Bojna djelatnog sastava VP-e, sastavljena od dvije satnije i to: I. satnija, za područje Srednje Bosne i II. Satnija za područje J/I Hercegovine.

      At the beginning of April 1992, the Presidency of the HVO of the Croatian Community of Herceg-Bosna passed a Decision on the formation of the MP. At the end of April, MP stations were operating in 25 H-B municipalities in an organized manner, under the joint command of the MP Management. In order to increase efficiency and practical requirements, at the beginning of May the organizational connection of the municipal units of the MP in four operational zones is being carried out.

     The commands of the operational groups were established and a single command of the MP Management was formed. Services for general affairs, military investigation activities, inspection affairs, staff training and logistics are being formed in the HR Directorate. By the end of June, three Military Investigation Prisons had been established in Mostar, Ljubuski and Livno. During the 7th and 8th month, in the entire area of ​​HZ H-B, further organization and functional connection of MP units with each other and with the MP Management is performed. In addition to the MP units, territorially organized by operational zones, in the 7th month the 1st Battalion of the active composition of the MP was formed, consisting of two companies, namely: I. Company, for the area of ​​Central Bosnia and II. Company for the area of ​​N/E Herzegovina.

      U ovom vremenu formiran je vojno-istražni zatvor u Čapljini, četvrti na prostoru NZ H-B. Međutim, Uprava VP-e nastoji osnovati središnji vojni zatvor, jer postojeći vojno-istražni zatvori nisu u mogućnosti primiti potreban broj ratnih zarobljenika, a i razmještaj zatvora ne osigurava kontinuirani, stručni i kvaitetan istražni postupak. Početkom 9-og mjeseca rješenjem predstojnika Odjela obrane, osnovan je Centralni vojni zatvor u Mostaru.

      Razvoj i transformacija oružanih snaga HZ H-B tražili su daljnje promjene u organizaciji Vojne policije. Tijekom rujna pristupa se reorganizaciji i u Upravi VP-e i u postrojbama, tako da od 01. 10. 1992. godine u okviru svojih nadležnosti, propisanim Uputstvom za rad VP-e HZ H-B HVO-a, VP-a djeluje po novoj organizacijskoj shemi. Uprava VP-e organizirana je kroz odjel Opće i prometne VP-e i Odjel za suzbijanje kriminaliteta.

      Odjel opće i prometne VP-e konstituiran je kroz pododjele (odsjeke) za opću i prometnu VP-u, vezu i kriptozaštitu, operativno dežurstvo i opskrbu. Odjel za suzbijanje kriminaliteta je konstruiran od tri pododjela: za organizaciju, praćenje i analizu i krim.teh. poslove s potjerno-potražnom službom.

      At this time, a military-investigative prison was formed in Čapljina, the fourth in the area of ​​NZ H-B. However, the MP Administration seeks to establish a central military prison, as existing military remand prisons are unable to accommodate the required number of prisoners of war, and prison deployment does not ensure continuous, professional and quality investigative procedures. At the beginning of September, by a decision of the head of the Department of Defense, the Central Military Prison in Mostar was established.

      The development and transformation of the HZ H-B armed forces required further changes in the organization of the Military Police. During September, the reorganization of both the MP Management and the units began, so that as of October 1, 1992, within its competencies prescribed by the HZ H-H HVO HR Instructions, the MP operates according to the new organizational scheme. The MP's management is organized through the General and Traffic MP's Department and the Crime Prevention Department.

      The General and Traffic MP Department was constituted through subdivisions (sections) for General and Traffic MP, Communication and Crypto protection, Operational Duty and Supply. The Crime Prevention Department is constructed of three subdivisions: for organization, monitoring and analysis, and crime tech. operations with the pursuit service.

      Postrojbe VP-e organizirane su kroz bojne, satnije i vodove koji, zadovoljavajući i dalje teritorijalni princip – pokrivaju određeno operativno područje. Prva bojna VP-e, formirana isključivo od djelatnog sastava, ima tri satnije: prva satnija sa sjedištem u Vitezu, druga satnija sa sjedištem u Ljubuškom i treća satnija sa sjedištem u Livnu (Sturbe). Djelatnici ove bojne osposobljeni su za najteže i najznačajnije vojno-policijske zadaće. Druga bojna VP-e ima sjedište u Livnu i pokriva područje S/Z Hercegovine. Ima četiri satnije. Treća bojna VP-e ima sjedište u Vitezu i djeluje na području Srednej Bosne. Ima pet satnija. Peta bojna VP-e djeluje na području Orašja – Bod. Bijela.

      MP units are organized through battalions, companies and platoons which, satisfying still the territorial principle - cover a certain operational area. The first MP battalion, formed exclusively of active personnel, has three companies: the first company with its headquarters in Vitez, the second company with its headquarters in Ljubuški and the third company with its headquarters in Livno (Sturbe). The employees of this battalion are trained for the most difficult and important military-police tasks. The Second Battalion of the MP is based in Livno and covers the area of ​​N/W Herzegovina. There are four companies. The Third Battalion of the MP is based in Vitez and operates in Central Bosnia. There are five companies. The Fifth Battalion of the MP is operating in the area of ​​Orašje - Bod. Bijela.

      Suočavajući se s problemom stručne osposobljenosti i kadrovskog odabira, nastoji se osigurati permanentno obrazovanje za pripadnike VP-e putem školskog centra. U suradnji sa stručnim organima MUP-a RH napravljen je nastavni plan i program. 20. 09. '92 osnovan je Nastavni centar za obuku vojnih policijaca u Neumu. Vođenje stručne obuke povjereno je instruktorima MUP-a RH. Svi polaznici koji uspješno završe obuku upućuju se u djelatni sastav VP-e.

      Facing the problem of professional training and staff selection, it seeks to provide continuing education for members of the MP through the school center. In cooperation with the professional bodies of the Ministry of the Interior of the Republic of Croatia, a curriculum was developed. On September 20, 1992, the Teaching Center for the Training of Military Police was established in Neum. Conducting professional training is entrusted to instructors of the Ministry of the Interior of the Republic of Croatia. All participants who successfully complete the training are referred to the active staff of the MP.

      Reorganizacijom iz 1993. godine Uprava Vojne policije HVO-e se uprošćuje. Iz njenog sastava se isključuje Laka jurišna brigada, koja potpada pod GS HVO-e. Osnovne zadaće VP-e HVO-e se organiziraju i sprovode kroz rad novostvorenih 1, 2 i 3 bojne VP-e, Nastavne satnije za obuku novaka, Satnije za osiguranje zatočeničkih konačišta, te četiri samostalne satnije za hrvatske enklave u Posavini i Srednjoj Bosni.

      Prva bojna VP-e je nastala od I i II satnije 5. bojne VP-e i I satnije 1 lake jurišne bojne VP. Direktno je vezana za Ministarstvo obrane HR H-B, smještena je u Mostaru, a teritorijalno obuhvata cijelu HR H-B. Drugu bojnu VP sačinjavaju ranija 6. bojna VP-e i 2. laka jurišna bojna VP-e. Treća bojna je nastala od dijelova 5. bojne VP-e i brigadnih vodova. Bojna broji 543 djelatnika.

      The 1993 reorganization simplifies the HVO Military Police Directorate. The Light Assault Brigade, which falls under the HVO General Staff, is excluded from its composition. The main tasks of the HVO MP are organized and carried out through the work of the newly created 1st, 2nd and 3rd Battalion MPs, novice training companies, detention companies, and four independent companies for Croatian enclaves in Posavina and Central Bosnia.

      The first MP battalion was formed from the 1st and 2nd companies of the 5th MP battalion and the 1st company of the 1st light assault battalion MP. It is directly related to the Ministry of Defense of HR H-B, is located in Mostar, and territorially covers the entire HR H-B. The Second Battalion MP consists of the earlier 6th Battalion MP and 2nd Light Assault Battalion MP. The Third Battalion was formed from parts of the 5th Battalion MP and brigade platoons. The battalion has 543 employees.
