RANK INSIGNIAS
OZNAKE ČINOVA |
|
|
U
označavanju činova ova se oznaka koristi sama ili u kombinaciji sa
zvjezdicama u čijem se središtu također nalazi stilizirana biljka aloe.
Aloe je izabrana da bi simbolizirala sličnost te biljke sa
policajcima: rastu i žive u teškim uvjetima, i usprkos svojem grubom
izgledu posjeduju ljepotu; iza sebe ostavljaju stare listove i rastu u
visinu kao i to da su oboje sastavni dijelovi većeg sistema
(ekosistema i društva) i da sistem ne može bez njih, ai ni oni bez
sistema. |
The hexagon, either in combination with the five-pointed star or as an
entity on its own, is used as rank insignia by the South African
Police Service. The sides and points of the hexagon symbolize forms
the acronym "POLICE". In the centre of this badge is aloe plant. Aloe
was taken to symbolize common values both police and this plant have:
both are to be found throughout South Africa irrespective of
beautiful, cozy, harsh or dry surroundings; in spite of their hard and
bitter qualities they also possess qualities of beauty and care and
much more. |

Sadašnji je sistem činova usvojen 01. 04. 2010. godine. Promjene su
izazvale neke kontroverze jer se pojavljuju činovi, poput generala i
pukovnika koji su preuzeti iz vojne hijerarhije. Uz to struktura činova je
ista kao i u doba aparthejda. Najavljujući promjene 2009. godine pomoćnik
ministra policije Fikile Mbalula najavio je daljnju militarizaciju
policije, što je izazvalo dosta negativnih reakcija. |
The current ranking system of the SAPS was adopted on 1 April 2010. The
change caused some controversy as the new ranks like "general" and "colonel"
have a military connotation. Furthermore the new rank system mirrors the
system used by the South African Police during the aparheid era. In 2009,
Deputy Minister of Police Fikile Mbalula spoke of making the police a
paramilitary force by changing the SAPS ranking system so that it would
closely mirror the military ranking system. This created a significant
amount of controversy from people critical of what they called the 'militarisation'
of the police. |

TERITORIJA |
|
KANGWANE
POLICE KANGWANE
POLICIJA |
|
reda i borbu protiv terorizma. Ove su policijske snage imale uniforme
originalnog uzorka, zvanog „žirafa“ sa velikim crveno-smeđim i zelenim
(boje trave) „mrljama“ na pozadini boje pijeska. |
|
|
KaNgwane was a tribal homeland in the eastern region of RSA from 1981
until 1994. It was formerly called the "Swazi Territory," and was set
aside for Swazi-speaking people, and granted nominal self-rule in
1981. Unlike the other homelands in South Africa, KaNgwane did not
adopt a distinctive flag of its own and flew the national flag of
South Africa. KaNgwane was reincorporated into South Africa on 27
April 1994, becoming part of the provinces of Mpumalanga and KwaZulu-Natal.
Although KaNgwane never organized a full-fledged Defense Force as did
many of the other homelands, the Police force was fully-trained for
domestic law enforcement and counter-insurgency operations. The
KaNgwane Police Force was issued a very distinctive "giraffe"
camouflage pattern featuring large reddish-brown and grass green spots
on a sandy background. |
