Vojska
Republike Srpske je bila oružana sila Republike Srpske. Postojala je
od 12.05.1992.. do 01.01.2006. godine, nakon čega je integrirana u
Oružane snage BiH. Nastala je uporedo sa osnivanjem Republike Srpske, a
uslijed početka građanskog rata u Bosni i Hercegovini (1992-1995). Ovu
vojsku sačinjavali su uglavnom Srbi. Pariškim mirovnim ugovorom i
Ustavom Bosne i Hercegovine i Republike Srpske, VRS je nastavila
postojati i u poslijeratnom periodu kao oružane snage Republike Srpske. |
U
julu 1995, većina borbenih snaga Vojske Republike Srpske (VRS) bila
je podijeljena na šest geografski omeđenih korpusa: Drinski korpus, 1.
krajiški korpus, 2. krajiški korpus, Sarajevsko-Romanijski korpus,
Hercegovački korpus i Istočno-bosanski korpus. |
Krajem ljeta 2005. u Bosni i Hercegovini je uz suglasnost oba entiteta
provedena temeljna reforma sistema odbrane, i od 01.01.2006. godine,
Vojska Republike Srpske je ušla u sastav Oružanih snaga Bosne i
Hercegovine kao njihov treći puk. Shodno tome, ukinuti su i Generalštab,
kao i Ministarstvo odbrane Republike Srpske. Vijest o integraciji Vojske
Republike Srpske u Oružane snage BiH je izazvala burne reakcije javnosti
u Republici Srpskoj i proteste na koje je izašlo nekoliko desetina
hiljada ljudi. |

The Army of Republika Srpska was the armed force of Republika Srpska. It
existed from 12.05.1992 . to 01.01.2006. year, after which it was
integrated into the Armed Forces of BiH. It was created in parallel with
the founding of the Republika Srpska, and as a result of the beginning
of the civil war in Bosnia and Herzegovina (1992-1995). This army was
composed mainly of Serbs. With the Paris Peace Treaty and the
Constitution of Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Republika Srpska, the VRS
continued to exist in the post-war period as the armed forces of the
Republika Srpska. |
In July 1995, most of the Republika Srpska Army's (VRS) combat forces
were divided into six geographically demarcated corps: the Drina Corps,
the 1st Krajina Corps, the 2nd Krajina Corps, the Sarajevo-Romanija
Corps, the Herzegovina Corps, and the East Bosnian Corps. |
At the end of the summer of 2005, a fundamental reform of the defense
system was carried out in Bosnia and Herzegovina with the consent of
both entities, and from 01.01.2006, the Army of Republika Srpska joined
the Armed Forces of Bosnia and Herzegovina as their third regiment.
Accordingly, the General Staff and the Ministry of Defense of the
Republika Srpska were abolished. The news about the integration of the
Army of the Republika Srpska into the Armed Forces of BiH provoked
violent reactions from the public in the Republika Srpska and protests
attended by tens of thousands of people. |
