Švicarski federalni sistem i njegova
podjela na tri nivoa vlasti: općinski, kantonalni i federalni se
odražava i na strukturu švicarske policije. U osnovi, ovlasti nad
protiv kriminala, preventivne mjere i mjere sigurnosti. |

The federal system of Switzerland and the division into three levels –
municipal, cantonal and federal level – is also reflected in the
structure of the Swiss police. Basically, the 26 Swiss cantons have
jurisdiction over police matters. They are responsible for recruiting,
training, equipping, arming and for the uniform of the cantonal police
forces. This is the reason why there is so many diversely organized
police corps in Switzerland. Training, arms, equipment and uniform
varies greatly according to canton.
Safeguarding national security – a federal task - is the responsibility
of the Federal Office of Police (Fedpol).
Its services – The Federal Criminal Police (FCP), the Service for
Analysis and Prevention (SAP) and the Federal Security Service (FSS) –
are responsible for criminal matters, preventive measures and security
duties. |
