Nacionalna policija Konga (Police nationale congolaise, PNC) je
nacionalna policija Demokratske Republike Kongo. Nacionalna policija
sastoji se od 110.000 – 150.000 policajaca i djeluje na pokrajinskoj
razini, podreðena Ministarstvu unutarnjih poslova. U DRC-u je poznat po
korupciji, represiji nad politièkim disidentima i drugim kršenjima
ljudskih prava. Trenutno je u fazi reformi. Gradi se Policijska
akademija. PNC djeluje zajedno s vojnom policijom (police militaire ili
PM) u nadziranju grada Kinshase. |

The Congolese National Police (Police nationale congolaise, PNC) is the
national police force of the Democratic Republic of the Congo. The
national police consists of 110,000–150,000 officers and operates on the
provincial level, answering to the Interior Ministry. It is known in the
DRC for corruption, repression of political dissidents, and other human
rights abuses. It is currently undergoing reforms. A police academy is
being built. The PNC operates alongside the military police (police
militaire or PM) to police the city of Kinshasa. |

Policijsko vijeæe (Conseil supérieur de la police) je na vrhu struktura
osmišljenih zakonom iz 2011. godine. Policijsko vijeæe èine ministar
nadležan za unutarnje poslove, ministar nadležan za pravosuðe, naèelnik
Glavnog ureda (Commissaire général) i njegova tri zamjenika, voditelj
Glavnog ureda za reviziju (Inspecteur général), pokrajinski naèelnika
policije, te upravitelj Škole za obuku i policijskih škola. Strukture
ispod Policijskog vijeæa su Glavni komesarijat (Commissariat général),
Glavni ured za reviziju (Inspéction générale), pokrajinski uredi te
lokalne i teritorijalne jedinice. Prema novom zakonu, naèelnik Glavnog
ureda (Commissairiat général) je osoba koja vodi nacionalnu policiju. |
The Police Council (Conseil
supérieur de la police) is at the top of the structures
devised by the 2011 law. The Police Council is composed by the minister
responsible for home affairs, the minister responsible for the
administration of justice, the head of the General Office (Commissaire
général) and his three deputies, the head of the General
Audit Office (Inspecteur général),
provincial police chiefs, and the Director of Training and Police
Schools. Structures below the Police Council are the General Office (Commissariat
général), the General Audit Office (Inspéction générale),
provincial offices, and local and territorial units. Under the new law,
the head of the General Office (Commissairiat
général) is the person who heads the national police.
